The Axon T4NET is an enabling technology that makes it possible for healthcare professionals to offer their expertise, experience, advice, help and care remotely via the internet. The individual, the family doctor, pharmacist, hospital clinic, nurse and social care professional can all benefit.
Axon is developing new chronic disease services and ways of delivering these services; we are involving leading e-health innovators, doctors, pharmacists, hospitals and industry leaders.

3. The Axon T4NET application software resides on the Axon Application fileservers. The data collected by the Axon T4NET application software is stored on the Axon User Database fileservers. System security
The Home-User and Healthcare Professionals interact with the T4NET system via the Home Records:
a) Medical details
b) Diary
c) Charts
d) Physiological readings
e) A messaging service
The Axon T4NET functions in a similar way to on-line banking. An authorised user, at any remote location, enters a unique id number & password and is then given access to the system.
The only difference between offering a service to those with diabetes and those with any other chronic disease is the medical team offering the monitoring service (2 above). Due to the modular architecture of the software, it is relatively easy for Axon to change the appearance of any of the above records (a-e).
Integrated Care Pathway
We have developed an integrated and multidisciplinary care pathway i.e. the enabling technology and clinical services. The technology does however make it possible for progressive interactions with all the users care providers.
